ESTELA IS LOOKING FOR COMMUNICATION & OFFICE MANAGEMENT OFFICER
ESTELA, the European Solar Thermal Electricity Association, is a non-profit association created in 2007. ESTELA represents members from the industry and research institutions, active along the whole STE value chain. ESTELA is devoted to promoting solar thermal electricity (STE), also called concentrated solar power (CSP), not only in Europe, but also in the MENA region and worldwide.
Currently ESTELA searches for its Communication & Office management Officer as direct support to the Secretary General and the Project Officers to carry out the Associations activities.
Communication and event management 75%:
o Coordinate/lead communication activities
o Draft corresponding project deliverables and periodic reports
o Coordinate and implement communication activities
o Manage websites and social media including monitoring web traffic and social media statistics
Office operations management 25%:
Day-to-day administrative operations of a Brussels-based association (IT-based interfaces to Social Secretariat, accounting firm, contacts)
Prepare the admin and financial duties of the Association (draft budget and accounting reports) and EU-funded projects (project financial reporting, financial follow-up, relations to partners)
Meetings with members and other external events such as workshops, conferences
o Experience in communication and event management, including the use of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube)
o Experience in overall office and EU project management, with a strong ability to perform well in tight timeframes
o Knowledge in accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
o A real ability with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) is a must
o Fluent in French and English. Other languages, especially Spanish and/or German is a plus
o Interest in renewables and energy transition issues
o Strong analytical and record-keeping skills, discretion, attention to detail, and multitasking
o Good communication and interpersonal skills and relationship management skills (can quickly establish good relationships with contacts)
o Experience in video conferencing tools (Cisco WebEx, Zoom) and website content management systems (WordPress)
Job Location: Brussels (teleworking currently due to pandemic)
Contract: Limited duration contract (3 years with possible prolongation)
Starting date: 1 Jan 2022
